Kids Journey
Kids Journey (KJ) Summer Program has been operating since 2007 within the guidelines of the Communities Improvement Association (CIA). The CIA is a public non-profit community organization founded in 1960 and incorporated in 1966 with a staff of all volunteers. Their mission is to promote education, prevention, and intervention services and programs affecting the health and welfare of our communities’ youth and elderly of Elmore County area. The KJ program has played an important role in the lives of hundreds of young people who have passed through our doors. In a world of uncertainty, peer pressure, increased academic expectations, and social isolation, today’s youth face a host of challenges that would task the best of us to perform and thrive in such a pressured environment. Kids Journey Summer Program provides children with a place to go where they can find acceptance, understanding, guidance, and academic assistance. Everyone needs to feel a since of belonging in the world and Kids Journey Summer Program provides that safe atmosphere where they always belong and are always valued.
